Mike Wright

“Short” Bio:

I believe I am not your typical Senior Pastor. My heart is full of passion for Christ while my personality blends seriousness, and care with a deep desire to win the hearts of our congregation.

I was Born and raised in Durham, NC where I received my accent, southern ways and calling to ministry. I pursued my theological studies with determination and zeal, but what sets me apart is more about my desire to connect with people on a personal level.

My desire is that you will see that my sermons aren’t just empty words to endure.  I strive to blend God’s Word, the Holy Spirit’s leading and my humor with those moments of application that make everyone in the room feel strengthened in their relationship with God.

I desire to help you navigate the life challenges of our modern world with grace and truth.

You’ll often find me in my office, studying the Bible, or meeting up with someone at a nearby coffee shop or mall food court for discipleship or accountability.

My willingness to address my own limitations and sin nature is what makes me relatable. This vulnerability helps me encourage others to hear from the Lord in their own challenges. 

Outside the church walls, I’m a family man. I deeply adore my wife, Christine; our three grown children, and their families. I am the proud Papaw (grandfather) of 7 amazing grandchildren with another one due in January 2024.  We love spending quality time together. Whether it’s at Kings Island on a ride, experimenting in the kitchen, or simply having an unplugged time together at a park or in the back yard we love to be together and do life together. 

We have been blessed to see many people in our church community flourish spiritually since our inception. Our unique blend of Biblical grace and truth creates a culture where everyone feels accepted by us and loved by Jesus, regardless of their background or struggles. My leadership style starts with serving others.
