Sermon: Summary
This sermon begins a new series called ‘Made New’ focusing on Jesus’s seven last phrases spoken from the cross and their transformative power. The first phrase examined is ‘Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do’ from Luke 23:34. Pastor Mike explores five secrets about handling suffering that can be learned from Christ’s example on the cross.
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, as we gather to discuss these powerful truths about suffering and forgiveness, open our hearts to receive what You want to teach us. Help us learn from Jesus’s example on the cross and apply these lessons to our own lives. Guide our discussion and fellowship. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
